Campaign Story
To our family, friends, and those we haven’t met yet…we are Paul and Amy and for the last 1,005 days (and counting…) we have been trying to have a baby. Paul is a disabled Veteran of the U.S. Army and a former law enforcement officer, which has caused his body to age faster than it should. He has been hoping & praying to have a child sooner rather than later so that he can at least carry and play with his child. Amy on the other hand has been diagnosed with unexplained infertility (with Anovulation & possible PCOS). We started fertility medications after a year of trying to get pregnant and have done so for a year.
In February 2025…we finally got pregnant. Our first intrauterine ultrasound at 6 weeks…our prayer baby was there…. but….no heartbeat. Our 7-week appointment confirmed…a missed miscarriage. Our hearts are shattered and want nothing more than to have our RAINBOW baby. Paul was premature (spent time in Rainbow babies hospital) and was the rainbow baby for his mother.
In collaboration with our amazing fertility MD (Dr. Mooney!), we are perusing IVF treatment & praying to attempt to get our Rainbow baby. Follow along with our faith, family, & IVF process.

The one with the IVF preparation…
January 2026: We attempted IUI and failed. Heart broken…we decide to try another round…..night before ultrasound to confirm ovulation, appointment cancelled by provider…we decide to skip this cycle & look at other options…financially. (Which we planned after unsuccessful IUI)
April 2026: Our provider suggested 3 options for IVF, the local Akron Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, & CNY Fertility (out of New York State), and after researching & prayers…CNY is the best option for us.
We have put a deposit down on IVF treatment & still have to pay for fertility medication out of pocket. We pray for May….to be the month we retrieve eggs!
